The most effective solution to food preservation in Vietnam
Vietnam has a tropical climate, four seasons are harvested every year. Therefore, it is necessary to have techniques of preservation and processing to improve and ensure the quality of agricultural products after harvest.
Vietnamese agricultural products in 2017, there are about 70% of export output to China in the form of raw and fresh but other big markets like Korea, Japan, USA, EU … the quantity is limited because of only one reason. The only reason is that post-harvest processing and processing do not meet the requirements.
According to the 2017 logistics report of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the average loss rate in the agricultural and food processing industry is 25-30%. The loss for seafood products is 35% and for fruits and vegetables depending on the processing and transporting methods, the loss rate can be up to 45%.

Understanding the storage problems that many food companies have, C-Tech applies the SCS (Super Cooling System) storage system to optimize the ability to preserve food in the long time but it can retain the nutrients and freshness.
Super Cooling System
Fruits and vegetables are still breathing after harvest. By continuing to breathe, you consume your own nutrients and continue to grow while draining. Therefore, as the time goes on, the maturing progresses, and the deterioration due to aging eventually occurs, and the quality such as appearance, taste, nutrition and so on declines. With using SCS, we can keep the respiration of vegetables and fruits as low as possible which is the key to slowing down the quality and keeping fresh freshness longer.
Operating principle of Super Cooling System
SCS uses ice-sensing technology by increasing the high voltage in the cold storage from -3 degrees C to 3 degrees C, helping to keep heat and preserve agricultural products in a hard-to-freeze state.
- Mechanism of electric field
The relationship between the electric field and the enzyme can be considered as a method for reducing the respiration of fruits and vegetables. By activating the activation of enzymes and performing respiratory depression, consumption of nutrients of vegetables and fruits will be reduced.
- MA (Modified atmosphere) Packaging
By controlling the amount of oxygen intake from the outside air and the emission of carbon dioxide, it is a method of maintaining the freshness of fruits and vegetables by making it “low oxygen / high carbon dioxide” status.
- CA (Controlled Atmosphere)
The respiration of fruits and vegetables is greatly affected by temperature conditions and atmospheric gas conditions. Generally, in cold conditions, respiration is suppressed, and cold storage and transportation are performed using this. It is also affected by the concentration of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the air, and it suppresses respiration in the state of “low oxygen and high carbon dioxide”.

Efficiency of Super Cooling System
After C-Tech company do the test, the results show that the effectiveness of maintaining freshness of all foods is high, especially rice and meat, when the flavor maturity is increased.
On the other hand, in the case of frozen food, the sweetness will evaporate out as water vapor when it is thawed, but with the Super Cooling System, this evaporation can be prevented. Therefore, using SCS is the best way to keep freshness of the product in long storage time, control the microbial growth, limit oxidation and retaining heat of food.

Food will always be stored in the best condition during transportation by being stored in SCS containers provided by C-Tech. The SCS container is equipped with a rechargeable battery which helps power the SCS system operating during a 15 hour (maybe longer).
Maintaining freshness with SCS containers will enable us to reduce transportation costs, which was the number one problem with exports. Currently, the domestic export ratio of fruits and vegetables by domestic flights is as high as 90%. Further freshness is possible by installing SCS in domestic production areas, distribution bases, and warehouses of export partners.
